India is full of contrasts, starting from the specific climate and nature through its’ language and culture.
Each of India’s regions is characterized by its own fine, original cuisine and the way of preparing these dishes.
In our Taj India restaurant we proudly present you authentic Indian cuisine. Taj India is a place with more than seventeen years of tradition, which began the spread of Indian cuisine knowledge among Poznań.
Taj India lets you enjoy authentic Far Eastern dishes. Many of our regular customers come back to taste our speciality – the unique bread baked in the original Tandoor oven. This is a forerunner of the modern, well known barbecue, where over the bowl in the form of inverted bell, the specialties are being baked by hot air. This Indian specialty called Nann – a large bread in the shape of a big drop – leaves us with an irreplaceable impression of crossing the Kashmir gate.
Marinated in yogurt and saffron – the most expensive spice in the world – chunks of chicken and lamb baked in the hot air of the Tandoor oven captivate our guests for years. Ravioli Samosa, crispy tamarind ravioli stuffed with peas, carrots and potatoes – one of the most popular snacks in the streets of Bombay, London or New York can also be enjoyed by the inhabitants of Poznań.
Indian cuisine is also one of the largest treasuries of vegetarian recipes. Eggplants, cauliflowers, tomatoes, potatoes, lentils and cashew nuts are only a small part of all the amazing products we use. Our guests can taste a traditional paneer or white cheese brewed in a restaurant, which, combined with walnuts, lentils or vegetables, takes them on an amazing journey through the flavors of an Indian home.
Another thing is Mango Lassi – a refreshing blend of yogurt and fresh mango fruit – which awaits you during the hot summer days at Poznań’s Malta Lake. Its velvety flavor remains in the memories for a long time and encourages you to return to a piece of India in Poznań, to the Taj India restaurant.
Our Indian-Polish team for special tasks.
